Tablas Island

The Jungle is everywhere on this Island, there are some small villages and nothing else. In short, go there only to apreciate nature and quietness, there is nothing to do.

San Agustin

From Romblon/Romblon to Tablas Island, you can take a small fisherman's boat for 30 pesos, and 1 hour later you will reach San Agustin / Tablas Island.

Arriving San Agustin, avoid to do the mistake I did : get in directly in the Jeepney qwhich goes to Looc.

"as ususal I absolutly wanted to have lunch on time : I took a seat in a small food-court to eat some cold meat and cold rice. After this great lunch, some Filipinos told me that there were no more Jeepney : I had to stay a night in San Agustin (it was 3:00 pm). Then I took a Jeepney to Santa Maria - half-way - but it stopped 10 km before...! From there, after 1 hour of negociation, I took a '150 pesos moto' to Tugdan (the driver was a pilot). It was the price to avoid sleeping in the Jungle".

Tugdan & Looc

In Tugdan, I think there is only ONE place to stay : the Airport Mansion which 150 pesos per night. But this very convenient because the place is good and its Chinese owner is very friendly.

To have lunch or dinner, you need to book your meal to the restaurant which is near the aiport. A very good dinner cost me 70 pesos.

Early morning, a bus is leaving to Looc at 6:00 am, but an excellent breakfast with Guava jam will help you to start ;-D In 1 hour Jeepney (15 pesos), you will be in Looc. Do not ask where is the pier, there is no pier, you'd better ask for Boracay, then a Filiponos will drop you to the Jetty. By outrigger boat, the fare Looc/Boracay is 100 pesos (2 hours).
